The Himalayan Women's & Children's Foundation (HWCF) is a non-profit 501C3 Tax deductible organization.

The Himalayas, roof of the world, is a mystical place where the magnificence of the world's highest mountains is mirrored in the rugged beauty and unique culture of the people who live in their shadow.
In these remote regions people often live without basic health care and education. The economic pressure has engendered environmental degradation. And traditional way of life is in peril.
The Himalayan Women's & Children's Foundation was founded six years ago in response to some of these pressing problems. What we do is to provide for basic needs, such as, to help educate women, to train doctors, to provide women and children with dental & health care. Our other ambitious plans are to build hydraulic electricity and suspension bridges in remote villages to facilitate trade and tourism.
HWCF supports projects that are humanitarian and benefit people who live in remote regions of the Himalayas. In every case, HWCF projects involve local community and encourage its participation. We genuinely respect our local partners by listening and responding to their concerns and need.
HWCF manages, directs various projects itself. We make sure they are done proficiently, economically and professionally. We are looking to join with other organizations for future endeavors.
More than 1500 patients have been treated over the past two years in the local mobile clinic in Solu Salleri region. HWCF has impacted the people of the Himalayas with the help of international volunteers.
